Casablanca has the widest choice of international flights in Morocco, which makes it the practical place to begin a trip even though almost nobody comes to Morocco for Casablanca. Starting here saves you a domestic transfer at the front of the holiday and sets up the most natural route in the country: south and east through the imperial cities to Fes, then to the Sahara, then to Marrakech.
Every tour below is private, starts with a pick-up at Mohammed V airport or your Casablanca hotel, and can finish wherever your flight home leaves from.
Give Casablanca half a day. The Hassan II Mosque is one of very few mosques in Morocco that non-Muslims can enter, with a 210 m minaret and a prayer hall built partly over the Atlantic; guided tours run several times daily outside prayer. Add the Art Deco downtown around Place Mohammed V and the Habous quarter, and that is the city properly seen.
The strongest plan is an open-jaw ticket: into Casablanca and out of Marrakech, or the reverse. It costs little more than a return and saves a full day of backtracking. Tell us your flight options and we will say which airport makes the better start.

If it is only a transfer, take the train — about two and a half hours, comfortable and cheap. A private drive is worth it when you want to stop: Rabat and El Jadida both sit on the way and both repay an hour.
